We clean your roof using only methods approved by the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturer's Association, which dictates that NO pressure is to be used. The black streaks you see on a roof are a cyanobacteria called Gloecapsa Magma. Why does it like roofs so much? It feeds off of the Limestone filler on your shingles, shortening the service life of your roof. It thrives in moist environments with lower levels of light, which is why you generally see it on the north side of your roof and not the south. It's very unsightly but we have the solution to that problem with our no-pressure washing system that is fully approved by the ARMA, the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association.
In addition to killing the Gloecapsa Magma, mold, moss and lichens are also killed. While the black staining will be gone immediately after treatment it will take a rainfall to remove the remnants of leftover moss due to it's fibrous nature. Lichen may take longer due to the way they take root into your shingles. Every roof is different in that regard.

Other systems touting amazing results using some form of pressure and Sodium Hydroxide at an outrageous price aren't A.R.M.A approved and can void your shingle warranty by removing the granular surface of your shingles.
